Throughout lockdown Teaching Fellows at COL have been working hard to put together a series of free online sessions in a variety of subject areas. Some sessions explore topical issues of our current times, including life and the world during and after lockdown, whilst others give an insight into the world of literature, history or film.

Sessions will be held every Wednesday from 29 July to 9 September and can be enjoyed live from the comfort of your own home. To register for any sessions, follow the links below and complete the registration form.

The sessions will use the University of Edinburgh's online teaching platform 'Collaborate'. Once you have registered, you will receive the session link 24 hours before the session starts. You will have the opportunity to test the link and your connection in the 'room' ahead of the session. For any connectivity or technical issues, please visit the Collaborate troubleshooting link at the bottom on this page.

How to use Collaborate

The format of the sessions will be lecture style in most instances. This means that you will not need video or audio support. The sessions's Teaching Fellow will be on camera throughout and share lecture slides, clips or audio with you directly on screen.
