FindAPhD LIVE! EDINBURGH is a fantastic opportunity to meet top universities from all over the UK and overseas under one roof and find out everything you want to know about studying a PhD.
FindAPhD LIVE! is completely free, open to everyone, and runs from 12:00pm until 3pm. Taking place in McEwan Hall at the heart of Edinburgh University campus, it’s very easy to get to with only a short walk from Edinburgh Waverley train station. Also, by registering and attending you could be in with the chance of winning a £1,000 bursary!*
As well as the chance to speak to university representatives face-to-face and get all your questions answered, you can also attend our insightful talks programme. Previous topics have included funding information and advice, studying abroad, and first-hand student experiences.
We will also be running a Research Proposal Masterclass from 11:15 – 12:00. This pre-fair session will increase your confidence in, and understanding of, the PhD application process. It’s full of helpful hints and tips to ensure your PhD application stands head and shoulders above the rest.
Our pre-fair sessions are in high demand, so we ask that you pay a £5 deposit to secure your place. We will refund the £5 to the card you used to pay within 48 hours of your attendance at the session. More details about both the pre-fair sessions and the PhD study fair can be found here.
*To be eligible to win the £1,000 you must register for, and attend, Postgrad LIVE! Edinburgh, and then enrol onto a postgraduate course at a participating university in Autumn 2018.
