MSc in Applied Poultry Science

We are seeking your views on the introduction of a new online learning Master in Applied Poultry Science.

The modern poultry sector relies on highly efficient production systems, with successful companies often using new technologies and demanding suitably trained employees. The programme is designed to match industry needs and is suitable for both aspiring entrants and existing employees wishing to develop their skills and so enhance their career opportunities within the poultry sector.

This new postgraduate programme is designed to suit those in continuing employment or with other commitments. Participants typically come from a wide range of backgrounds, including nutritionists, breeders, vets and other poultry sector workers, all of whom wish to develop their career and businesses. It is offered by part-time, distance learning and is a fully flexible mix of technical, scientific, nutritional, environmental and management-skills development modules so you can fit your studies in and around your work and other commitments. It is delivered largely by staff of the Avian Science Research Centre (ASRC).

Applied Poultry Science Survey  

MSc in Critical Care

We are seeking your views on the introduction of a new online learning Master in Critical Care.

Critical Care involves the management of the sickest of patients, who may have any of a multitude of surgical or medical conditions, have suffered trauma or burns or poisoning. Management includes advanced monitoring and organ system support, complex comfort care, delicate human interactions with patients and their families and, inevitably, end of life care. Clinical human factors are pivotal to patient care. Intensive care is provided by a team of staff from many different disciplines and professions.

The proposed MSc in Critical Care will be an online, taught, MSc programme aimed at doctors and nurses training critical care and associated specialties.  It will equip candidates with critical up to date clinical knowledge and thinking in all aspects of the specialty and provide them with the skills and attributes required to design and conduct clinical research in the acute specialties to the highest academic standard.
