Registration and matriculation
Matriculation is the process by which you officially enrol at the University of Edinburgh
Matriculation is the series of steps by which you become fully enrolled as a University student. This process can begin four weeks before your programme start date.
These four steps are:
- Registering as a student
- Confirming your attendance
- Fulfilling any additional admission requirements
- Arranging to pay tuition fees

Important information for international students with Tier 4 visas
In order to complete registration, you must bring your passport and visa to the University Student Information Point in Old College on South Bridge so they can be verified by the University. Further information can be found on the University Student Administration website:
