Presented by professional and support services staff from across the University, our short videos will provide guidance, advice and top-tips on a range of topics. Learn how-to-do something and find out how to access further support if you need it.

You can watch the videos whenever you like and from wherever you are in the world!

Clicking the 'i' icon in the top right hand corner of the media player (when a video is playing) will show the video's full description and any useful links that are mentioned in the presentation.

Recordings for  'How to' online live sessions

  • From Monday 19 August to Friday 30 August, we hosted 16 live online sessions
  • Staff from across the University presented on a range of topics to help you get prepared, from how to get funding and financial support to how to access your timetable and so much more!
  • Got questions about support or getting involved at university? Our 'How To' video series and live session recordings cover practical tips to help you make the most of your time at the University. Available all year, watch anytime for guidance on accessing support, and much more!
  • The presentations are all slightly longer than the short videos, giving you more in-depth information about a particular topic and the practical aspects of starting University

You will need to log-in to MyEd to watch any/all of the recordings.

Recordings will be stored by the University of Edinburgh for one year and published on our website during that time. By taking part in a session, you give us your consent to process any information you provide during it.
