Learning and teaching
We expect you to be with us in Edinburgh for the start of the 2022/23 academic year.
Being in Edinburgh will allow you to fully engage with your studies and to make the most of everything that the University – and city – can offer.
Your School will be able to provide further detail on individual lectures, classes and seminars.
If you can't attend classes because you're self-isolating
People with Covid symptoms are no longer advised that they need to take a PCR test. In line with public health advice, we are advising anyone who is unwell to remain at home until you are well enough to return to campus.
Please contact your student support team, Personal Tutor or supervisor if you are unable to attend classes or assessments due to illness.
Potential disruption to in-person teaching
Members of our community may need to self-isolate at some point during the upcoming Semester. This might mean that teaching may be cancelled at short notice due to staff absences, or where some student services may be functioning with less staff or operating on reduced opening hours.
We’ll keep you informed of any teaching changes and potential disruption to our student services as soon as we can, so please keep checking your student email and our website for the latest updates.
