Guidance for application status queries regarding your submitted postgraduate or visiting student application.

What is the status of my application?

The status of your application can be viewed in the 'Application Status' section on the Applicant Hub's home page and on the application's detail page.

 

What statuses does my application go through before a decision is made?

Applications go through several stages while we assess your application:

  1. Application received

  2. Being processed

  3. All details received

  4. Ready for a decision

  5. Decision

The time your application spends at each status will vary depending on how long it takes to gather the information needed to support your application, the number of applications we receive and whether your programme operates a closing date.

Applications can also be placed on hold at any time during the process, for example if we are waiting on additional documentation or if the programme operates a closing date.

 

Who should I contact if I have questions about my application status?

Your Admissions Office will be able to advise you on the status of your application.

When contacting the Admissions Office please provide the following details:

  • UUN (if available)
  • Forename(s)
  • Surname
  • E-mail Address
  • Programme of Study (if applicable)

 

Why is my application on hold?

The reason an application has been placed on hold may vary depending on the programme you have applied to.

Common reasons for an application being placed on hold include:

  • Holding applications until we have received and considered all the applications submitted by the programme's deadline.
  • Awaiting receipt of documentation to support your application

Your Admissions Office will be able to advise you further on the status of your application.

How do I accept my offer?

Offers are accepted through the Applicant Hub:

  1. Click the 'Open Application' button on the Applicant Hub home page
  2. You will have a link to view your offer letter before responding to the offer
  3. Click the Respond to Offer button to accept or decline your offer
