Import marks

You can import marks from a CSV file for items or assessments from the Enter Marks screen.

Importing marks is a quick way to upload marks already captured outside EUCLID for example in spreadsheets or exports from Learn.

File format

Your file must meet all of the following conditions to be accepted:

  1. It must be a .CSV file format (created from Excel)
  2. No special characters in the file name - e.g. & or "
  3. Students must be listed vertically with one row per student
  4. There should be two columns - one for the Student ID and one for the mark 
  5. There should be no column headers or any other information on the file
  6. The Student ID can be either the exam number or UUN (with or without the leading "S" or the instance number) e.g. any of the following would be accepted:
    • S1234567/1    50
    • S1234567        50
    • 1234567          50
    • B123456         50

You need to have a separate CSV file for each set of item or assessment marks.

Process summary

  1. From the Assessment Hub home screen, click Enter marks
  2. On the resit side, click the drop down arrow for the item or assessment you want to enter marks for and click Import Marks 
    • If your assessment structure has an assessment with items and components, you'll only be able to import marks at the item level
    • If your structure is an assessment level only, you can import marks at this level.
  3. If the "Select Marker" box appears, either select the name of the marker from the list, or leave this as No Marker and click continue
  4. Click Choose File
  5. Locate and select your file for import
  6. Click Import File

You'll now see a processing bar to indicate the marks are being imported for each student.  

Once the import is successful the Save Status will change to a tick beside each student’s name and you'll see a summary box at the top showing if there were any errors.

When you've finished click Back or Return to Hub from the top of the page.
