ACES visiting your school to speak to staff

Our outreach officer, Jasmine, will be travelling to each Local Authority in 2024 to chat to school staff about what we offer at ACES and the talks and workshops that we could host for your students as part of our outreach programme.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions

Join our CPD session around portfolios for teachers. Think fun, play, breaking rules, …! Let’s think about what universities and colleges like to see in a portfolio. What could you, as teachers, be doing with your Senior Phase pupils?

Session Aim: Provide you with key information around university portfolio requirements and leading you through a practical task/activity created by one of our Portfolio Prep Tutors.

Stirling and Clackmannanshire - we're trying our best to offer this to you this summer but we're waiting to hear back from your local Network Leads.

Please share your school or glow email address with us. We will not accept registrations with private, non-school email addresses.
Do you have any individual requirements (mobility, accessibility, dietary etc) or additional support requirements that you think we should know about for when you attend our event(s)? This section does not need to be completed to allow you to attend our event(s), however, it will enable us to support you to participate fully in our programme and to ensure that all relevant adjustments are in place.

By signing up to the ACES Teacher Newsletter or any of our Teacher Events you understand and accept the following terms and conditions with regards to the use of your data:

  1. ACES Edinburgh will retain the details you have submitted on their database, as well as any future correspondence and details of ACES events that you attend.
  1. ACES Edinburgh staff will use the contact details you have provided to contact you with information about the project and related events. External (non University of Edinburgh) workshop providers will only be provided with your contact details / emergency contact details for emergency purposes for the workshop(s) that they provide, in the absence of ACES Edinburgh staff.
  2. Your data will be retained for a maximum of seven years and may be used for the purposes of monitoring and tracking.
  3. ACES Edinburgh may liaise with other departments within the University of Edinburgh - and other universities where appropriate - about any future application you are supporting and may share details of ACES events you have attended.
  4. Your personal data will not be shared with anyone outwith the University of Edinburgh (other than point 2 above).
