(New) S4-S6 Introduction Session [Online]
For ACES eligible pupils entering S4, S5, or S6 in June who want to find out about the events and support ACES offers. Meet the team and ask your questions about joining ACES Edinburgh, and learn how we can help you with your applications and skills development.
Commitment: 1 hour
Visit: ECA Graduate Show [In Person at Edinburgh College of Art]
For ACES eligible pupils in S4-6 who want to explore the amazing work ECA Graduates made this year! You’ll see Edinburgh College of Art and some of the facilities our students can use. Plus, you’ll get to meet students and ask questions about studying art, design, or architecture degrees.
Commitment: 3 hours
ACES Curated Collection for the ECA Graduate Show [Online]
For ACES eligible pupils who want to look at the ECA Graduate Show in-depth and curate a collection of work as a group. The final selection will be published as the 'ACES Curated Collection' on the ECA Graduate Show website.
Commitment: 2 hours
Visit: ECA Fashion Show [In person in Edinburgh]
For ACES eligible pupils who want to see a real fashion show. The ECA Fashion Show is a highlight of Scotland’s fashion calendar and ECA is the only Scottish institution with a show on the catwalk during Graduate Fashion Week.
You will get in for free (normal ticket price £10)!
Commitment: 1.5 hours
Guardian and Parent Introduction Sessions [Online]
For ACES eligible pupils entering S5 or S6 in June, their guardians, parents, and supporters.
Session 1 – The UCAS Application Journey
You will learn about the different stages of the UCAS application process; from making the best subject choices in school to writing a Personal Statements and finally submitting your application to UCAS, we’ll make sure you have a really good overview.
Session 2 - Creative Applications
For ACES eligible pupils entering S4 or S5 in June, their guardians, parents, and supporters. This online session focuses on the application process for visual creative degrees at university as well as courses at college. Learn what’s different when you apply for art, design, or architecture.
Commitment: 1 hour per session
Create Workshops [In person at Edinburgh College of Art]
For ACES eligible pupils who want to explore the Diversity in art and design! Meet artist and designers who work in the Central Belt of Scotland and learn more about their creative practice. You will experiment with techniques and materials they love! Each workshop will be led by a different artist or designer so we encourage you to sign up to every date you can attend.
Commitment: 3 hours per workshop
S4 Play Workshops [In Person at Edinburgh College of Art]
For ACES eligible pupils in S4 who want to spend a day getting to know ECA graduates and their work. Together we will do some sewing, explore art, and most of all, play!
If you're entering S5 in June and would still like to come, please sign up. We will prioritise pupils entering S4 but there may be places left for you.
ACES Summer School [Blended]
For ACES eligible pupils who want to dive deeper and fill an entire week of their summer holidays with art and design! We will let our creativity free, experiment with different materials, visit galleries, meet artists, and spend a day at the Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop in Leith.
The week will be a blend of online and in-person activities:
