We are happy to engage with schools and colleges to speak with students, parents and staff. In light of Covid-19, we have been attending and delivering a range of virtual events to schools and colleges across the country.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, our team are currently unable to travel to events and outreach activities. This will be the case during the summer term and we are monitoring the situation closely; we will update this page as the situation progresses. However, we are happy to take part in virtual events and the team can deliver a lot of our activity remotely via a video link. We also have the functionality to record activity that can be used by you at your convenience.
Our services include:
School careers conventions
In lieu of physical careers conventions, we are able to attend virtual careers conventions and/or provide accompanying materials (i.e links to online sessions, our prospectus, contact details).
If this is your first time organising a virtual careers convention, why not contact us in advance? We have considerable experience of these events and can make positive suggestions that will help with your planning. Please note that we are very busy at peak times of the year and early notification of events does help us to try to allocate staff.
The recruitment team makes more than 100 visits per year to schools and colleges, with our focus being to provide realistic and impartial advice that enables students to make informed decisions about higher education. We are regularly invited back by schools to speak to parents and carers at parents evenings.
We are also able to offer recorded presentations or deliver content remotely via a video link when unable to visit in person. If you would like us to visit your school or college please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
Presentations and workshop topics we can deliver include:
- Studying at the University of Edinburgh
- Studying in Scotland
- Why choose higher education?
- Choosing a course and university
- Applying through UCAS
- Personal statements
- Student life
- Making good use of Open Days
Arranging a session
We are lucky to receive a large number of requests from schools and colleges and with certain times of the year being very busy, we would recommend contacting us as early as possible with your request.
