Scottish Power Foundation Scholarship

Scholarships are available for study in the area of Energy and Environment in the UK in 2020-2021.

These scholarships, provided by Scottish Power, are available in the following areas:

  • Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Naval Engineering
  • Renewable/Sustainable Energy
  • Onshore/Offshore Renewable Engineering
  • Environmental Sciences /Climate Change
  • Computer Science & IT/Software Engineering/Telecoms

The scholarships aim to contribute to the education of young professionals with the capabilities required to lead the energy industry into the future.

Each award covers tuition fees plus a maintenance allowance of £1,200 per month. Awards are made for a maximum duration of one calendar year.


Applicants must be nationals of the United Kingdom, and hold a good undergraduate degree.

Applicants must be intending to commence a full-time, on campus taught masters programme at the University of Edinburgh, or be expecting to progress to the final year of an integrated masters programme such as MEng. 


Applications are made via the Scottish Power website and will be open from 03 February 2020.


The successful candidates will be advised in June 2020.
