GREAT Scholarships 2020 - China

This year, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, the University of Edinburgh will be offering three scholarships to Chinese students applying for an eligible one-year postgraduate taught Masters programme for the 2020-2021 academic session.

This scholarship scheme is part of the GREAT Scholarships 2020 - East Asia campaign which has been launched by the British Council together with 36 UK Universities to support more students in East Asia to get access to the excellent UK  Higher Education opportunities.

The total value of the scholarship scheme is over £800,000. This scholarship scheme will offer an exciting opportunity for East Asian students wishing to get financial support to study at postgraduate degree level in the UK.

Award

Each scholarship will award an amount of £10,000 which will be deducted from your tuition fees and will be tenable for one academic year.

Eligibility

The Scholarships will be awarded to nationals and residents of mainland China who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an eligible one-year taught on campus postgraduate Masters programme of study within the following schools:

School of Divinity

School of Health in Social Science

School of History, Classics and Archaeology

School of Literatures, Languages and Cultures

School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences

Edinburgh Medical School (Biomedical Sciences programmes only)

Criteria

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree.

Applications for this scholarship are no longer being accepted for 2020-2021 as the 17th of February deadline has now passed.
