The Shailendra Kasera Scholarships

One scholarship will be awarded to an applicant accepted on to an eligible on-campus one year masters programme in any subject offered by the Business School for the 2017-2018 academic session.

This scholarship has been funded by Mr Utsava Kasera, an alumnus of the Edinburgh University as a tribute to his father Mr Shailendra Kasera.

Utsava studied MSc in International Business and Emerging markets in the Business School (2007-08) and is involved in several entrepreneurial ventures and start ups.  In his own words “I dedicate a significant measure of my success to the University of Edinburgh education I received, along with efforts and sacrifice of my father Mr Shailendra Kasera in bringing me up in the best possible way.


The scholarship will have the value of £15,000 and is tenable for one academic year.


The scholarship will be awarded to a student who has been accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate one year Masters programme offered by the Business School.

Applicants must be domiciled outwith the UK and EU at the time of application and be liable for the overseas rate of tuition fee. 


The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit.


Applications for this scholarship are no longer being accepted for 2017-18 as the deadline of 31st May 2017 has now passed.


The closing date is 31st May 2017, with all applicants notified of the outcome by the end of June 2017.
