Data Protection

Consent to discuss your support with relatives, carers and partners. 

We do not share information about you or your support with anyone outside the University (e.g. parents) unless you give us consent to do so.  

To give us consent and indicate who we are able to talk to, complete the online consent form (link below).  You will be asked to enter your University log in details as this form can only be completed by matriculated students.  If you have not yet matriculated, this form can be completed once you matriculate or a paper version can be signed when you visit the Service.

Data Protection legislation gives you the right to request the information the Service and University holds about you through a Subject Access Request.  

  • To request information the Student Disability Service holds about you, please complete our online data request form  linked below.
  • To request information the whole University holds about you (i.e. not just our Service), please contact the Records Management department who will coordinate the collation of the data from all departments.   Making a request via Records Management.

Please Note: We only keep your data for 5 years after you graduate or leave the University.
