We support the mental health of all students at the University, using short-term counselling and referral to other services.
The Student Counselling Service is continuing to operate a service during the Coronavirus pandemic. We are doing this remotely, in line with University and Government guidelines and in the interests of your health and safety. We are currently offering services by telephone and email. Please use our self-referral form to register for an appointment.

Live stream of Stress Control classes will be running live from Monday 13th of April. All free of charge.
Big White Wall (BWW) is an online support network, available 24/7, guided by trained professionals. It is free to students of the University.
The Foundation for Positive Mental Health is working with the University of Edinburgh to provide free access to the Feeling Good App.
SilverCloud is a package of online mental health treatment programmes, mostly based on CBT, which help people overcome common mental health problems.
If our counselling service isn't right for you, we can signpost you to groups who can give you help over the phone, provide long-term counselling (there may be a waiting list), or run specific support groups.
If you're a member of staff, friend or family member of one of our students, we can give advice on how best to support their mental health.
