One-to-one therapy (Counselling)
The Student Counselling Service is offering services by video (via Microsoft Teams), telephone, email and in person. If you would like to speak to a counsellor please make sure you have noted your contact number before submitting the form.
Video appointments on Microsoft Teams
We offer video appointments via Microsoft Teams. We have set out a list of FAQs below to help with any queries you may have.
Email counselling involves the client typing their feelings, problems or concerns and sending them by email. The specially trained Email Counsellor reads and responds with a therapeutic reply in a given period of time. This consists of a series of exchanges however is not done ‘live’ like a chat.
Same day appointments
Same-day appointments are available to be booked on the day on weekdays (Monday to Friday). These 20 minute appointments will offer a brief helpful conversation to explore the issue(s) causing difficulty or distress and look at the next best steps to take.
Skills for Life and Learning
We run presentation workshops on a variety of topics. These are being held either online or in-person for 2022-23 and are open to all students. You can book a place on a workshop on MyEd.
Health and exercise
Our Support for Physical Activity programme can help support mental and emotional health and wellbeing through physical exercise.
