Privacy Notice for Workshops

Your information: how we use it and with whom we share it.

Skills for Life and Learning Workshops

We record your matriculation number in our database to note that you have attended a workshop.  We are processing the information about you for these purposes because by registering for the workshop, you give your consent for us to do so.  This information is kept in our database for five years.  You may opt out of this at any time by emailing student.counselling@ed.ac.uk . The purpose of this is to monitor usage and inform future development of the workshop programme.  We do not share personal information with anyone outside our Service.

At the end of each workshop, we ask you to complete an online evaluation so that you can provide feedback on the workshop.  This is anonymous and optional.  The information is used to measure the effectiveness of each individual workshop and it informs future development of the workshop programme.  The data is anonymised and recorded on an excel spreadsheet and included in our annual report.

We do not use profiling or automated decision-making processes.

If you have any questions, please contact Katie McBain, Administration Manager, Counselling Service (katie.mcbain@ed.ac.uk).
