Semester dates for employment
Confirmation of semester and vacation dates for Tier 4 and Student visa holders.
Since 16th May 2014 employers have had a legal obligation to confirm the semester and vacation dates of any employee providing a Tier 4 or Student visa as evidence of their permission to work in the UK.
By checking the semester and vacation dates employers are able to confirm the number of hours a Tier 4 or Student visa holder is permitted to work throughout the year.
It is the responsibility of both the employer and the employee to ensure that any work undertaken is done within the restrictions of the visa and UK immigration rules.
