Healthy Working Lives
Healthy Working Lives (HWL) is an initiative led by the Scottish Centre for Healthy Working Lives and encourages employers to promote health and wellbeing in order to encourage a healthier and more motivated workforce.
The University of Edinburgh successfully achieved the Bronze, Silver and Gold levels of the HWL award in May 2010.
For the award the University was assessed on it’s approach to a number of areas including health and safety, occupational health, employability, supporting staff attendance, healthy eating, physical activity, smoking, mental health, health and the environment and community health and wellbeing, amongst others.
This award recognises the University's commitment to enhancing health and wellbeing in the workplace.
