Enhancing the Student Experience

Measuring our success

The key performance indicator and targets for the student experience.

Our key performance indicator

The proportion of graduates (undergraduate and postgraduate) in graduate-level employment or further study.

Graduates in hoods and gowns

Our key performance indicator (KPI) is supported by three separate targets that we aim to achieve by 2016 to measure our success in enhancing the student experience.

Delivering an outstanding student experience is one of the University's key strategic themes described in the Strategic Plan 2012- 2016.

Our targets

  1. Increase the level of overall satisfaction expressed in responses to the National Student Survey, Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey and Postgraduate Research Experience Survey to at least 88%.
  2. Increase the number of our students who have achieved the Edinburgh Award to at least 500.
  3. Create at least 800 new opportunities for our students to gain an international experience as part of their Edinburgh degree.
