Our coaches have extensive international experience and our Head Coach is also assistant coach on the Great Britain Elite Development Programme.
We have an ambitious programme in world-class facilities and it's great to be working with a group of players that have the hunger and desire to train to be the best they can be.
Training to be the best
On top of two matches a week, we have two hockey practices and there is the opportunity for one-to-one coaching with our Head Coach. We train at Peffermill Playing Fields, which has recently been upgraded and boasts two world class water based Astroturf pitches. Another two training sessions take place weekly at the dedicated Performance Gym at the Pleasance.
With the support of the University, I am able to fully pursue both the demands of my degree and my sporting career.
Compete at the highest level
We have a clear focus; developing players to become the best that they can be in our Performance Programme. We have an exceptional record of developing International players and have had representation at the last 3 Commonwealth games and 3 alumni playing for Scotland in 2018, as well as our Head coach working with Scotland Senior Men.
The Men’s hockey have been in 3 of the last 5 Scottish Cup finals, as well as winning 2 BUCS Premier League titles, the BUCS trophy and we have been in the top Scottish League for the last 10 consecutive seasons.
