Team Performance Programme

The University’s leading sports clubs form part of the University’s Team Performance Programme.

10 of our performance sport teams are headed by dedicated performance coaches, with specialist conditioning, medical and advisory back-up. This is designed to allow University of Edinburgh teams to compete at the highest level in national leagues, as well as British Universities and Scottish Universities championships.

All of our performance sports have designated sport-specific support that includes access to the University’s top class training and competition facilities and services, such as:

  • Supervised strength and conditioning support, year round, including exclusive use of the state-of-the-art Performance Gym
  • Prevention and treatment of injury from FASIC sports injuries clinic
  • Pilates sessions
  • Sports massage (if referred)
  • Sports nutrition advice
  • Sports psychology consultancy
  • Flexible study options and mentoring
