Reynard Swimming Scholarship

The Reynard Swimming Scholarship is available to Edinburgh University students who are part of our Performance Swimming programme.

Kevin Reynard is an alumnus of the Edinburgh University Swimming and Waterpolo Club and was awarded a Full Blue in 1984.

Competing with the club was an important feature of his time at University and Kevin always felt that, with better facilities, training and support at Edinburgh, club athletes could do so much better in the water - nationally and internationally - as well as develop personally.

As investment in Performance Swimming (plus the new pool) developed in recent times and more structured support was established, Kevin decided to contribute financially to support our talented swimmers and pledged an annual swim scholarship to benefit one swimmer each year.

The value of this scholarship is £500 per annum and is awarded to an individual who may have  personal or financial circumstances that otherwise might inhibit that potential to be realised.

The Reynard Scholarship recipient will be suggested by the Performance Swimming coaches and reviewed by the scholarships panel.

This year's recipient is Tom Carswell.
