Residential accommodation is in our comfortable Norwegian Pine log cabin situated by the loch side with spectacular views across to the Southern Highlands. Firbush has the capacity to accommodate 40 people, mostly in rooms for four people sharing. The drying room, shower facilities, changing rooms, and dining room are also located in the main building. There is wheelchair access to the main accommodation block and a separate toilet and shower for disabled use. Wireless broadband is available across the site for all our guests.
The workshop and extensive equipment store are located in our resource centre across the harbour. In addition to personal equipment such as boots, gaiters, wetsuits, buoyancy, and waterproofs, Firbush provides a well maintained stock of craft for water activities including dinghies, windsurfing boards, kayaks and canoes.
Catering and bar
Our dining room affords panoramic views across Loch Tay. Breakfast, packed lunch, and three course dinner are provided by the housekeeping staff. Buffet lunch is available by arrangement, and individuals with special dietary requirements can be catered for if advance notice is given to the Firbush office. Firbush also provides a club bar located in the basement social area, with a wide selection of wines beer and spirits.
The ideal venue for lectures, seminars, and academic meetings the lecture room at Firbush can comfortably accommodate 45 people. Known locally as the ‘Firbush Cinema’ we take advantage of our big screen and excellent sound system to show a variety of instructional DVD’s, covering all of the outdoor activities pursued at the centre. The secluded positioning of the facility also makes it ideal for yoga and meditation courses. There is additional break out space in the Sinderson room (basement) and dining room, if required.
New Friendship Circle
This new outdoor gathering space allows visitors to enjoy the stunning views of Loch Tay and the Ben Lawers mountain range whilst providing another space for groups and individuals to socialise at Firbush.
