Move in March Challenge

Staff and students get moving to help crown your college or university department as the most active this March!

The NHS recommend that adults should try to be active every day and do at least 150 minutes of exercise per week, by doing this we can reduce the risk of:

  • Bowel cancer
  • Breast cancer in women
  • Coronary heart disease and stroke
  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Osteoarthritis and hip fracture
  • Depression and dementia
  • Early death

So why not join us to get the University of Edinburgh active this March?

Throughout the month of March we are encouraging staff and students to walk/move as much as possible and at the end of the month, we will calculate the total distance covered by each department. You can walk, jog, swim, climb or cycle - whatever you prefer - all movement counts! You can upload your steps individually or as a team and each week we will add up the combined steps for each department/college.

Log your steps through our MS Form

We would love to see you in action so please share your photos or videos and tag thePleasancegym on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram or take part in our MarchOnInMarch photo competition.

Let's see how far we can go this March!
