Winter courses

All our winter courses include instruction on a 1:6 or 1:4 ratio depending on the course. Hire and use of all technical equipment and clothing you may require is included, as will be an evening lecture on avalanche awareness and route planning.

To maximise time and daylight on the hill we offer our winter courses on a semi self-catering basis. With your course peers, you will be accommodated in our comfortable and well-equipped self-catering lodgesWe ask you to provide your own breakfast and food for the hill. However, Firbush will provide a light meal on your arrival evening and a hearty two-course meal the following day. Both of your days on the hill will be de-briefed over one of our infamous tray bakes.

You will have full access to our bar area and equipment drying facilities.
