Pilates for Back Health

Helping the University of Edinburgh students, staff and the wider community with their back health

This 90 minute online Zoom workshop is available to all with priority booking given to University of Edinburgh students and staff. It is suitable for both beginners who are completely new to Pilates but also for those who have taken part before. The session will be run by Jenny Tyler, a chartered physiotherapist and Body Control Pilates Instructor.

If you would like some support and exercise to look after your back health this session will cover the basic principles of Pilates and progressions and challenges to add so you feel confident in being able to improve your movement and strength over time.

Further Information:

You will need a mat or a large towel and a cushion or hand towel and space to be able to lie down and move limbs. Please wear clothes that you can move freely in. Pilates is usually performed without shoes. There is a strong practical element to the workshop so if you have any injury concerns please contact the clinic prior to participating.

Please note that payment and registration form must be completed within 72 hours of registering online otherwise your name will be removed from the course.
