National Sports First Aid Course
A National Governing Body recognised course teaching pitch side first aid skills to all those involved in sport including First Aid volunteers, coaches, parents, teachers and athletes themselves
The course comprises of an e-learning module which has been updated to include information relevant to COVID-19. On completing the module the candidates attend a half day practical session prior to becoming certified.
The course has both theoretical and practical elements which is designed to improve competence and confidence in dealing with First Aid situations.
You will learn basic life support skills use of automated external defibrillators (AED’s), how to deal with sports injuries and medical conditions.
Your certificate is awarded on successful completion of both the e-learning module and the practical components of the course and is valid for 3 years.
No prior First Aid knowledge is required.
This course is endorsed by the SFA SRU and World Rugby
