National Sports First Aid Course
A National Governing Body recognised course teaching pitch side first aid skills to all those involved in sport including First Aid volunteers, coaches, parents, teachers and athletes themselves
The course run by FASIC is held over one full day with some prior reading required which is distributed to registered attendees.
It has both a practical and theoretical components which are designed to improve confidence and competence when dealing with first aid scenarios. Included in the course content are basic life support and AED use, sports injuries and also medical conditions.
The course has a focus on hands on practical scenarios for teaching injury assessment and management so brush up your acting skills and be prepared to join in!
The course is endorsed by the Scottish Football Association and supported by the Scottish Rugby Union and many other governing bodies and the qualification awarded on successful completion of all aspects of the course is valid for a 3 year period.
