Interested in the use of physiotherapy and Pilates to manage and prevent back pain.
Qualified from Queen’s College Glasgow in 1990 and kept up to date with a variety of courses since then.
I’ve always believed exercise has a key role in injury recovery/rehabilitation and prevention, therefore I trained to be a Pilates teacher in 2003. I’ve attended lots of Pilates small equipment or special population courses since. I am now the Scottish regional coordinator for BCP looking after students and qualified Pilates instructors
Teacher trainer for BCP teaching on the mat work course, small equipment courses and the low back pain course. Creator and tutor of Pilates for Golfers course for BCP teaching qualified Pilates instructors
Regular “Pilates for”….sport specific workshops at FASIC for athletes.
Reformer / Cadillac and Chair qualified and Back4Good practitioner – using Pilates exercises to manage back pain.
Throughout my career, I have always strongly believed that appropriate exercise is key to client management. My interest in Pilates has fuelled this further and I love working with clients - improving their movement potential and enhancing sporting performance, whether recreational or elite level. My physiotherapy practice has a strong client focus and I see my input as guiding them to independently improve.
