Your qualifications may not meet our requirements or may not be accepted by the University

If you have been told that you are unqualified, it may be that your application falls into one of the following:

  • You have not met, or are not predicted to meet, our standard or minimum entry requirements   For more information please see Understanding our entry requirements
  • You have not met, or are not predicted to meet, the subject specific entry requirements for the degree programme you applied to   For many of our programmes you must demonstrate the required subject knowledge by holding, or being predicted to achieve, certain subjects at a set level.   • The qualifications you have studied, or are studying towards, are not currently accepted for entry   For more information on qualifications we accept please see our Undergraduate entry requirements 
  • You have not met our English language entry requirements   All applicants must have a qualification in English, including for native English speakers a National 5/GCSE or equivalent in English. For more information please see English language entry requirements
