Information for unsuccessful applicants

We are sorry we have been unable to make you an offer.  We understand this will be disappointing news and wanted to give you some information on the reasons behind the decision.

There are a range of reasons why an application may be unsuccessful and we have listed the most common reasons below. Alongside the feedback you have received on our decision via UCAS Hub, we hope that the information below will help you understand why we have been unable to make you an offer.   

• You thought you were qualified, but have been told that you are unqualified
• Competition for places on your chosen degree programme was extremely high
• Your qualifications were achieved more than three years ago
• You are a 'Home' Applicant and applied after the 25 January deadline
• Your application was incomplete, or did not disclose relevant information
• You did not provide a reference
• You did not provide requested information by a given deadline
• Your personal statement did not show motivation to study your chosen degree programme
• You applied for a degree programme in Informatics or Mathematics
