You should apply by the relevant UCAS deadline to make sure your application is considered. 

The UCAS equal consideration  deadline is 31 January 2024 at 18:00 GMT.   We recommend that all applicants submit their application by this date, although for some subject areas we may be able to consider overseas until 30 June. 

We only guarantee to consider applications which are 'complete' and received by the relevant UCAS deadline.  It is the responsiblity of the applicant to check UCAS for the relevant deadline for their application.

In order to meet the requirement of being a 'complete' application, your application must contain all required information including qualifications gained and to be achieved, an academic reference, and explain any gaps within your education. In addition, your application must include predicted grades for all qualifications which are outstanding.

When to apply

MyEd portal

MyEd is the University of Edinburgh’s applicant portal. Login details will be emailed to you upon receipt of your application and we recommend all applicants check their MyEd regularly.

Any requests for missing or additional information, such as predicted grades, will be sent to you through MyEd and you must ensure that you respond to these requests by the stated deadline or your application may be made unsuccessful.
