College of Science & Engineering

Competition for places is extremely high

Due to the high level of competition for places not everyone will get an offer

Each application is considered in comparison to other applications received for the same degree programme. The whole application is taken into consideration in the selection process and we consider all the information provided, including not only your overall academic performance and performance in relevant modules relating to the MSc programme applied to, but also your reference, relevant experience, and motivation for the programme (demonstrated in the Personal Statement).

The level of competition will vary from one programme to another, dependent upon the number and quality of applications received. Where there is high competition for places and a large number of high-quality applications received, we are not always able to make offers to all applicants who meet or exceed the minimum entry qualifications we require.
