Women STEM students visit to the Institute

Women STEM students from across Scotland gained insight into what a career in research looks like.

On 21 March 2018, we worked together with the NapierConnect and InterConnect networks to organise a visit for women STEM students from across Scotland. The event gave our visitors the opportunity to gain insight into what a career in research might look like, the range of roles available, what research the Institute is currently doing, as well as talking/networking with staff. At the end of the day they went on a tour of the Institute.

Speakers on the day were PhD students Amy Fraser and Claire Stenhouse, Roslin group leaders Dr Elly Gaunt, Dr Abi Diack and Professor Simone Meddle and Public Engagement Officer Dr Nicola Stock.

It was a pleasure to have the students with us!
