Strategy and vision for Early Career Researchers

A workshop to reflect on own research career.

This online workshop on ‘Strategy and vision for Early Career Researchers’ from Easter Bush campus was an opportunity for attendees to stop and take stock of their research careers, and consider whether they have a vision and if they are being strategic.

Through discussion and guided reflection attendees reflected about their progress on working towards their goals.

Aspects that might affect their careers or research strategies were also considered, including by scanning the wider landscape of policy and funding.

External trainer, Tracey Stead, who has previously delivered the popular ‘Making the most of your Postdoc’ workshop, guided participants through the process of being strategic, while balancing competing demands on their own time.

The workshop was hosted by the Roslin Career Development Committee.
