Alex has been a Core Scientist (Postdoc) in the Grey lab since 2018, he is involved with several projects but focuses on miRNA regulation by human cytomegalovirus (HCMV). 

Alex completed his undergraduate degree - BSc Microbiology (Hons) - from the University of Leeds in 2012. He then earned a PhD at the Roslin Institute in 2017 (Whitelaw and Archibald labs), examining the intracellular localisation and replicative structures of porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV).
