Bacterial diseases of economic and societal importance.

We study a variety of endemic bacterial species that infect poultry, pigs, cattle and man.
Our research concerns the diagnostics, epidemiology, evolution, pathogenicity and host-jump mechanisms of organisms including Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus, Mycobacteria, Streptococci, Listeria, Rhodococcus equi and Burkholderia pseudomallei.
