Development and disease

Studying tissues and organs in development and disease

Understanding development and disease

Improving the health of humans and animals starts with understanding normal development and physiology. We are using a range of model organisms and farm animals to study tissues (for example bone, skin) and organs (for example kidney, gonads) in development and disease.

Our expertise in genome engineering and comparative approach furthers understanding of basic mechanisms of disease and contributes to improving human and animal health.
