BBSRC EASTBIO Doctoral Training Partnership

Shaping bioscience research training in the East of Scotland

eastbio logo

The East of Scotland Bioscience Doctoral Training Partnership (EASTBIO DTP) was funded by the BBSRC in 2012 to provide world-class bioscience doctoral training in four areas of strategic priority: these are Basic Bioscience underpinning Health (Ageing ), Bioenergy & Industrial Biotechnology, Food Security and World-Class Bioscience.

The Partnership was established in response to the BBSRC call for DTPs by combining the strengths of four reputable reseach-based universities in the East of Scotland: Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and St Andrews. Affiliated with the Scottish Universities Life Sciences Alliance (SULSA) and the Scottish Universities Physics Alliance (SUPA), EASTBIO is the largest of the BBSRC DTPs.
