Animal Welfare Day

The Animal Behaviour and Welfare research team at SRUC, in collaboration with the Jeanne Marchig International Centre for Animal Welfare Education at the R(D)SVS, will be holding a day of talks and discussion about current developments in animal welfare on 4th October at The Roslin Institute.

This year’s theme is 'Celebrating Success in Animal Welfare Research' to reflect on the positive changes in animal welfare education and practice that have occurred following more than 50 years of animal welfare science research.

The programme includes talks as well as opportunities to interact with researchers and educators in animal welfare during the lunch break.

The event is free but for administration and logistical purposes please register your intention to come by emailing June.Mclennan@sruc.ac.uk – please also indicate any dietary requirements. We also have two possible tours during the lunch break to visit facilities at R(D)SVS. Unfortunately due to space constraints we will need to limit numbers on the tour so please also indicate in your email if you would like to go on a tour, and which one, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
