Stephen Nutbeam-Tuffs

Stephen joined the Fitzgerald Group as a PhD student in 2011, taking on a project looking at the alternative roles of superantigens in staphylococcal disease. Following the completion of his PhD, Stephen remained in the Fitzgerald group, taking up a Post-Doctoral research fellowship to continue his research. His project focused on the development of a vaccine against bovine mastitis.

He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Glasgow securing an Msci degree in microbiology. This degree involved a one year work placement which he spent at the Centre for environment fisheries and aquaculture sciences (CEFAS), Weymouth in 2010.

Stephen left the group in 2017, becoming a Postdoctoral Associate in John McCormick's lab at the University of Western Ontario.
