Marij Steutker

Marij is a Dutch graduate student that started an internship in the LBEP group in February 2020. The project she is involved with is entitled “The interaction of Legionella pneumophila with the human host”. This is her final internship before graduation from the Biomedical Sciences - Infection & Immunity masters course at the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Marij completed her undergraduate study in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Amsterdam Cum Laude and with a Research Honours. In her previous internship, she looked into newly found transcription factors involved in the differentiation of B cell to antibody secreting cells and she now wants to expand her knowledge of microbiological research.
