Foot and mouth disease
EERA group has a long standing interest in research on foot and mouth disease both in the UK and abroad
We have a number of pieces of work understanding livestock movements in sub-Saharan Africa and using phylogenetic analyses to understand these patterns. We are also developing within herd and meta-population models of endemic FMD to explore transmission and the role of carriers.
