Development and Annotation of Avian Genomes

The chicken genome currently serves as the model for all avian species.

One of our interests is to provide a detailed annotation for this genome, which we are doing by means of long-read sequencing.

The Bird 10,000 Genomes (B10K) project, which aims to sequence every avian species, is also underway (https://b10k.genomics.cn/).

As part of this, we are involved in projects to develop genomes/transcriptomes for tufted duck, starling, quail, sparrows and longspurs.
