On the 20th of May, the Roslin Institute hosted a conference entitled "Future Outlook for Genetic Improvement in Aquaculture".  The event covered numerous topics, including :

  • Finfish and shellfish breeding
  • Applied genomics in aquaculture
  • Genome editing

The format of the conference moved over the course of the day, suited to the focus (and type) of discussion.  Such stages included: 

  • Invited talks from leading researchers
  • Early career researcher flash presentations
  • Industry panel discussion

 

The Roslin Institute's aquaculture personnel will be able to glean excellent new insights from this collaboration alongside partners in academia and the industry.
