Multiplex gene editing

Targeting multiple regions in a genome

multiplex editing

In livestock breeding, desirable traits are often controlled by multiple genes and can become costly to breed using traditional methods. Now that CRISPR technology has gained recognition for its ease in targeting and editing with high specificity, the obvious next step is to use it to target multiple regions across the genome, thus accelerating the process of livestock breeding and helping us to meet the demands of the ever-growing human population and its food security.
