The Institute has strong ties to the local community through two regional partnerships.
Easter Bush Research Consortium
The Easter Bush Research Consortium (EBRC) brings together The Roslin Institute, Animal Sciences researchers of Scotland's Rural College, the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies and the Moredun Research Institute.
The Animal Sciences partnerships within EBRC, and integration with clinical practice and education in R(D)SVS, provide major opportunities for application and exploitation of the research of The Roslin Institute.
Midlothian Science Zone and Council
The Institute, together with the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, both at the University of Edinburgh, along with Scotland's Rural College, Moredun Research Institute, Edinburgh Technopole and Midlothian Council have come together to form the Midlothian Science Zone.
In addition to being one of the largest employers in Midlothian, the Institute, together with other parts of the Easter Bush Campus are members of the Easter Bush Development Board, which is facilitated by Midlothian Council. The Development Board takes an overview of activities in the wider Bush area.
