Research facilities

The CRM building houses state-of-the-art research facilities.

The Centre provides high quality research facilities for imaging, cell sorting, cell culture, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) cell manufacture and histology and hosts the Chemistry and Computational Biology of the Niche (CCBN) facility.

The High Content Screening facility contains equipment for assay development (throughput and miniaturisation), high throughput imaging and subsequent high content data analysis for internal and external users.

The imaging facility at CRM provides support for light microscopy imaging and bio-image analysis to CRM staff and external users.

The Flow Cytometry Core Facility provides comprehensive services and assistance in multi-parameter flow cytometry and FACS for internal and external users.

The facility offers a service for the sequencing analysis of thousands of single-cells or single-nuclei in transcriptomic (scRNA-seq, snRNA-seq), genomic (scATAC-seq) and other multi-omic experiments (CITE-seq, PERTURB-seq, CRISPR screens, VDJ/BCR/TCR profiling, spatial transcriptomics and others).

Integral to the CRM building and crucial to CRM's goal of translating our research into clinical applications is our state of the art 1000sq m good manufacturing practice (GMP) cellular therapy facility.

The Chemistry and Computational Biology of the Niche (CCBN) facility provides space and resources to link cutting-edge chemistry, bioengineering and computational biology with stem cell research.

The Centre for Regenerative Medicine has a centralised cell culture facility for isolation and culture of both mouse and human embryonic stem cells.

CRM has a fully equipped histology lab for processing and sectioning both paraffin and resin embedded cell and tissue samples.
