Work at CRM

At CRM Prof Bruno Peault's group studies developmental heamatopoiesis and is also interested in the identification, purification, characterisation and medical use of multipotent progenitor cells, specifically mesenchymal stem cells. Working closely with his twin laboratory at the University of California at Los Angeles, his group studies the biology of perivascular stem cells and their possible role in tissue development, renewal and repair.

The ground floor of the CRM building houses the British Heart Foundation Centre for Vascular Regeneration, dedicated to study vascular repair and regeneration. This centre has been set up in close collaboration with the University / British Heart Foundation Centre for Cardiovascular Science.
